Alfa Laval's traditional plate heat exchangers use heat transfer plates that are fitted with gaskets, that seal the plate channels and directs the fluids into alternate channels.

The number and size of the plates are determined by the flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop and heat transfer duty. The plate corrugation promotes fluid turbulence and supports the plate against differential pressure.

Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchangers are an excellent alternatiive to shell & tube type heat exchanges.

Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchangers are available with a wide range gasket materials and plate materials such as 304SS, 316SS, Titanium, Hastelloy, SMO and even Graphite.
